They stick to the rooftops, delivering packages and covert information in the dystopian world of the game (the story unfolds in a place called the City of Glass).ДЇaith gets out of prison as the game opens and immediately gets back to the rooftops. Runners are free-running artists who make a living acting outside the view of the watchful eye of the law. The story follows Faith, a young вЂњrunnerвЂќ trying to make her mark on the corrupt world that left her an orphan and took away everyone she cared about. It has all the makings of a sequel, but taking this approach allowed the developers to avoid being tied down by the story of the first title. Rather, itвЂ™s a story that takes place in the same universe as the first game and stars the same character.

Not everything about the game was amazing, but it quickly garnered a cult following, which inevitably led to calls for a sequel. Sprinting across rooftops and running along walls was exhilarating and disorienting, helped along by fantastic level design and an interesting world. It was defined by its first-person parkour action and stark, dystopian cityscape. Overall the game is excellent but should be for older teens and gamers.The action of the first MirrorвЂ™s Edge game was novel and distinct. The problem is that the game makes you work hard for it, which could lead some gamers to deciding to kill rather than take the moral high road. This is morally praiseworthy and is in fact encouraged through achievements and trophies while killing is not. The player has the option and ability to incapacitate rather than kill. ItвЂ™s also implied at several points throughout the game that the job of the runners is not to kill or go after police but those that control them. Her job has become all about spreading the truth that the media tries to keep under wraps. They were protesting laws that were being implemented which would have limited their media rights(free speech.) This had an extreme effect on her. But why does Faith do what she does? You find out through cut scenes that years ago her parents were killed in a riot. The story is about oppression as it is implied in the review. However it does not touch much on why Faith is doing what she is. This review for this is fairly close in terms of age group. Which Side of History?
